Lesson 11: Titus 2:8 A Pattern of Sound Speech
In Paul's letter to Titus, he instructs Titus to teach the brethren to be sound in the faith, to teach sound doctrine, and to be a pattern of sound speech that cannot be condemned. In this lesson we define "sound speech" and discuss the correlation between our speech and our behavior.

Learning to pray is about seeking God. Sin separates us from God and willfully continuing causes Him to not hear. Instead, we should seek God with our whole heart.
When we known we need to change, what stops us from doing it. Paul describes the battle between our flesh and our spirit. Jesus provides the spiritual victory.

Having sanctified Jesus as Lord, giving an answer also requires the ability to verbalize what is our hope in Christ. We remind ourselves of the gospel every day.
We are not called to a "holier than thou" mentality. Rather, we are called to perfect the holiness God creates in us through Jesus Christ, by His Holy Spirit.
