What is necessary edification? What is the Christian’s responsibility to edify others with our speech? More than the work of the church, to edify others with our speech is an essential goal for every child of God.

In the final lesson of this series, how do we apply apostolic traditions as way of life, making room for Christ to grow in us, and draw us closer to God?

Apostolic traditions help us grow more like Christ. Sometimes, we hit a road block. Worldly care begin to choke out our best intentions for spiritual growth. How do we overcome them?
In Eph. 4:29, Paul admonishes us to not allow any corrupt word come out of our mouths, but what is good for necessary edification. Reminder, what is corrupt speech?

Having sanctified Jesus as Lord, giving an answer also requires the ability to verbalize what is our hope in Christ. We remind ourselves of the gospel every day.
We are not called to a "holier than thou" mentality. Rather, we are called to perfect the holiness God creates in us through Jesus Christ, by His Holy Spirit.
God’s grace for sound speech includes our ability to speak of our hope in the gospel to those who ask. What it means to sanctify Christ as Lord in our hearts?
