The Love of God Part I: Perfect Love

An introduction to the "perfect" love of God and how that love is expressed through the saving sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
What does the word "church" mean? Is the church a building? Is it an organization? Is it a people? It is used to translate the Greek word ekklesia.
Through the Bible narrative God gradually develops the imagery of an eternal kingdom that would be given eternal, universal dominion. The Messiah would be the king.
By what standard do we measure greatness? Jesus says the greatest of all will be the servant of all. To enter the kingdom, we must become humble as a child.

Jesus was moved by compassion when He encountered the sick, the suffering and the sinful. He manifested God's love by acting on that compassion with acts of mercy.
Jesus reveals the love of God as expressed in the life of a man. He shows how God's love is compassionate toward the suffering, sinfulness, and pain of mankind.
We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. If I believe, repent, and obey the gospel, then what? What is the relationship between faith in Jesus Christ and living righteously?
