Colossians 1:24-29: Learning to Live as Though Christ Lives In Us
In Christ we are redeemed by His blood. In this life, our aim is that He may live through us. We are the continuation of Jesus' ministry on earth. Can we describe our current behavior and way of life as an expression of Jesus living through us?
In the final lesson of this series, how do we apply apostolic traditions as way of life, making room for Christ to grow in us, and draw us closer to God?
Apostolic traditions help us grow more like Christ. Sometimes, we hit a road block. Worldly care begin to choke out our best intentions for spiritual growth. How do we overcome them?
A closer look at the traditions taught by the apostles in every church. " Paul describes as "his ways" taught "everywhere in every church" (1 Corinthians 4:17).
The Holy Spirit inspired traditions to be taught among God’s people. The apostles also warned against human traditions based on philosophy and worldly principles.
We are not called to a "holier than thou" mentality. Rather, we are called to perfect the holiness God creates in us through Jesus Christ, by His Holy Spirit.
We turn our attention to learning to use our mouths to glorify God. In 1 Peter 3:15,be ready to give an answer for our hope when we are persecuted as Christians.
In this second lesson on What Hinders Prayer? we discuss things that prevent God from listening to our requests, such as sin, unforgiveness, and unrepentance.
Do you ever feel like God isn't hearing or answering your prayers? Explore the possibility that we simply need to learn to trust God to answer the way we need.
We continue our study on self-control and the wisdom God gives to teach us how to use our words for good and not for evil.
