Sermon: Consider Your Ways
Haggai 1:5
Haggai was sent to Israel during the period of the return to remind them of their need to prioritize the things of God first in their lives. We would do well to heed his God-given admonition to the people, "Consider your ways."
James 5:16 says the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. What does a righteous person look like? The epistle of James contains the answer.
Hebrews 11:6 says that he who comes to God must believe that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. How does "reward" work in concert with grace?
In the sermon in the Mount Jesus teaches on practicing our righteousness. He identifies the practices that, when done to be seen by God in secret, God rewards openly
