Lesson 4: Faith in Things Unseen
We begin exploring the teachings of Jesus on faith. Through His ministry Jesus emphasized the need for faith to learn confidence in things that are not seen, but that are powerful because of God’s word.
In the Parables Jesus describes what the kingdom is like. In Romans 14 Paul describes what the kingdom IS. How do we identify what is the kingdom of heaven today?
Our hope in the great and precious promises of God help to anchor our souls through the storms of life. What are those promises? What is our inheritance in Christ?
Is confessing our sins something Christians should be doing? The Bible pattern teaches us, yes. And the apostle John also instructs us to in Christ in 1 John 1:9.
Continuing our discussion of the importance of contemplation in prayer, we elaborate on the need to contemplate how God is working in our lives and draw near to Him.
Jesus teaches, according to true righteousness, to address sin from the heart. In Matthew 5:21-37, He illustrates with three scenarios: anger , lust, and dishonesty.
